Brutus
goes to the Seashore is a small book about a big dog who
enjoys going to the beach. He participates in all the usual dog activities--meeting people and their dogs, playing in the surf, and, after a long day, settling into the dunes for whale-watching. This hard-bound book with embossed covers--front foot on the front, back foot on the back--is written and illustrated by the artist. |

Other new releases include giclées of the print of Polly - which is an oil study of a little female pit-bull who was found wandering the streets of Roseberg, Oregon. She found her way into the artist's life and heart and has never left it.
The giclée print of Horse in the Desert depicts one of the artist's draft horses, Rachel, lying in a desert landscape. Inspiration for the painting resulted from a winter trip the artist made to Arizona. And with the giclée Bear under the Apple Tree, Burkhardt shares her sighting of a bear pausing between apples under a loaded apple tree. A thrilling sight--at a distance. |

| Giclée prints are typified by the use of archival inks, archival papers,
with individual color profiling for each piece and the paper it is printed
on, and are printed by a professional printer with many years of experience.
The word giclée means spraying or squirting in French. The printing of giclées is a great advance in fine art printing over the old technique of offset lithography. Prints are made in smaller quantities, colors are more intense and true and prints can last for generations. Giclée printing offers new opportunities for both artists and collectors |
